There’s a belief I’ve run into once or thrice that a having a team simply “do the Jiras” is all it takes to unlock the hidden potential of pretty much anyone. There’s a lot of reasons this isn’t true, but they all roughly boil down to the fact that tools are the place you express your processes, not process in-and-of itself. However once teams figure out how they want to work (and interact with other teams), they can use Jira to reinforce and support those decisions.

There’s a lot of different ways teams can choose to work, both internally and within their larger organization, but most of my experience has been around enabling one of these:
